How I can get cable TV on my computer without an antenna?
I currently live on campus, and my bedroom has free access to basic cable (via a jack in the room). I have no television, but a laptop. TV tuners I've seen seem to TV provides regular, which requires an antenna and providing irregular. Can I use my computer to my TV cable service without an antenna? I can assume that the service does not require an antenna cable. Sad if it is false. Thanks in advance.
> I can assume is that the service requires an antenna cable. free service does not require antenna cable. Only a USB TV tuner and software, simply connect a coaxial cable for the USB tuner. Usually when people say "cable basics ", they mean by analog cable. Check if this is the case. If this is what you could get by with any analog tuner only ever done, I've never heard of one that was "antenna shop", but check the specifications to see if you have a cable tuner "NTSC" ready. those used for real cheap because of emissions and many cable systems, digital signal switching. If you buy a new USB tuner, make sure that has both an analog output (NTSC) and digital cable (QAM) tuners. Some USB digital tuners are made for digital television (ATSC) Antenna emissions only. Some no-analog (NTSC) tuners for either. ATSC tuners are used to air digital television (antenna) broadcasts.
