Does watching television make you a more "interesting" person?
My mother and my grandmother always encouraged me watching TV and they say it will help relations with others and make me a more "interesting" person. My mother says that watching a program on a regular basis is a hobby "and "common interest" that can be shared with others. Frankly, I have a burning hatred for television and when I watch it I either can not be stopped, because I want to ride (usually scale). When I think of a "hobby" I think something that you can participate, like poetry, photography, hiking, yoga, tennis. I love movies, but I think watching a television program on a regular basis is stressful and absurd. Grandmother says television is good for the mind, when I read that the dumbest television. I have 17 years and I am the only teenager I know who despises the tube, which leads me to believe that my mother and GMA are correct. but if correct, why defame television studios (also known as obesity of the machine)?
"TV" means something different to different people. Some may believe that "watching television" means sitting on your ass with a bag of potato chips and watching Jerry Springer … Some people might think "watching television", the replacement of a book. Some may believe that "watching television" means finding a program science channel that has only one once a week and planning to sit and learn. Some people might think "watching television" is being contact with family or friends to watch a movie and enjoy eachothers company. It depends on what they see and how. It might be healthy or not, depending what you do with it. View popular movies can help you understand how society and culture is changing and what ideas to buy …. can teach you a lot … you can do too stupid .. it's all in how you use it.
