Television Under Age 2

television under age 2
watch TV for less than 2?

I read a lot about not allowing children under 2 watch TV. But that's okay if you looks at them? If age appropriate, I mean I'm obviously not allow my son to see bad programs, but his father likes to watch sports with him leave. Am so confused about this because I do not want my child has ADD or something when school starts. I mean we're playing baby games all day with him is not good TV on occasion? By the way he is only 6 months. He really loves Baby Einstein, if I leave him when he plays, sometimes you see sometimes not. What does everyone think about this?

Our son is 1, and the first who had a very anti-TV. We have since eased. Our son has only a passing interest in television. Sometimes it seems for a while, sometimes it's like not even on. He watches Baby Einstein DVD, and it seems like these. He also look at some NASCAR weekend with me, but do not see the whole thing, as he loses interest. Engine noise, colorful cars zipping around the screen, and comments are something that seems to appreciate enthusiastic advertisers. My wife is an early childhood education major in college, and some things we will not allow our son to watch movies of terror are, soap operas, news and reality shows. Many soap operas, reality shows and television drama these days are emotionally charged – Emotions negative. It is not good to expose your child to at an early age. The new versions also bad vibrations of the child. Even if you are not paying attention, still looking for the excitement and atmosphere of television and absorb it. As with anything, I think moderation is the key. You and your husband seem to do a good job so far.
