All questions about the history of Colombia?
Hi guys, well, I'm doing a project on the British TV series Doctor Who, and I need to know what were the factors that led to the creation of the show. I do not want that created it and why, I mean, what the United Kingdom, have led people to look at the problem? Why is it so interesting, why Colombia culture so attracted to this type of show? If you are not me can give an answer, then please let me know where you are. I looked on Wikipedia and typed in search engines, I'm just at a loss on how to find out. Thanks and 10 points to anyone who can help!
1. You must understand the transition period in which Britain was in 1963, when he began to Doctor Who. ● The ancient world to the United Kingdom was the most powerful country in the world but the destruction of two world wars undermined, and limitations ultimately a small country with great economic responsibilities, has led the country for being a nation of second order with the U.S. and the Union Soviet dominated world affairs. ● Decolonization of the British Empire was the largest empire in world history, including one quarter of the planet. The popular image of the Empire was one of benevolence, to bring civilization and progress for the people of the colonies (exploitation, greed and brutality are generally not recognized at the time). But the empire was being dismantled rapidly, with the 1960s, the decade when former colonies were given independence – Ghana became the first African country to do so in 1957. ● Along with the New Immigration Decolonization was a new wave of immigration from the former territories. It began in the 1950s with the government's appeal for Caribbean workers to fill vacancies in the national health service and public transport. This has led to fears of social unrest population based on race, as evidenced by (a riot), Notting Hill and Nottingham in 1958, (b) the Conservatives win in the Smethwick constituency elections in 1963 (with the unofficial motto "If you want a black to a neighbor, vote Labor"), and (c) Conservative MP (Shadow and member of the Cabinet), Enoch Powell's infamous 1968 "rivers of blood" freedom of expression. ● technological decline Britain had lost its leading technological nation and a former colony (USA) had become the world center of the brain. ● After the economic uncertainty, "never has tasted so good "1950s, the British found that, at the international level, his country was lagging behind with the former defeated enemies (Germany and Japan) become rising stars. ● Space Race United States and the USSR in a race to be the leader of Space Explorers, a race in which Britain could be a spectator. 2. Then along comes Doctor Who, to provide an escape, to heal negative feelings about the decline of Britain. ● Although it is a quintessential British Lord of time, and called for each character its own personality, the foreign captain of time and space character is typically UK – To be a classic, eccentric, weird, loveably unique. TARDIS ● Externally, the TARDIS looks like a British police box phone 1950, and therefore a reference to an old era of British Columbia technology and law and order. ● The nature of the leak in an "apparently British" Time Lord has the latest technology its scope, with no limit to the regular acquisition of technology such as finance, and has an unlimited ability to travel through time and space, while it is being fought, and eventually defeated in battle, his enemies (the Daleks, Cybermen, etc.) that are foreign that have invaded the Earth, the planet, and every time it shows a sense of humor is typically British, and that is good.
