Is this a new account 2 minute YouTube clip Fair Use?
A year ago, my uncle was in Ireland and news (television State in New Zealand) filmed it. I recorded the clip on television (where he played for free) and transferred on YouTube so I could see (he lives in USA). Today I received an email saying that TVNZ (the company behind one of News) has a claim of copyright in the clip. The projected free clip nationally and was easily accessible on the Internet tvondemand. It is a history of sport in New Zealand rugby team and 2:18 long. While I recognize that are copyright to this equipment, by posting a notice on youtube be considered as fair use under the laws of the States?
Although they have made the news report and have the copyright, so do not think they really would be considered fair use under U.S. law. I know that being can not send videos as it is really stupid I do not see why broadcasters are so boring but still do not like.
