New homes with open floor plans?
Seems like a good idea, kitchen, dining and family room open to everyone and a great room. In fact, I'm finding it very loud, even I can hear a roll of paper towels in the kitchen broken when I'm in bed. Echoes television, all shouting in the hallways to keep a conversation, the smell of food all the time, no privacy. In addition, some members of the SLAM family allways cabinets, drawers, fridge and doors. I do not understand why can not simply close them instead of slamming. Anyone else have such problems with open floor plan? or open-plan love? It looks like a gym or a place to repair cars, but is a very nice house.
The trick is to have a fairly open plan, without being a loft / warehouse. You can build walls to half the buffer noise between rooms servethrus
