What is HDTV?
HDTV or HDTV is a digital broadcasting standard that ensures the viewer in an incredibly sound quality. It is one of 18 voluntary standards for digital television set by the Advanced Television Standards Committee (ATSC), which provides guidance on quality standards used to encode audio and video transmission. Of the 18 standards, which are superior to analog TV technology commonly used today, HDTV definition has the highest rank. The format for high-definition broadcasts, therefore, is the most superior. However, the purchase of an HDTV-ready does not mean to be allocated to enjoy the benefits this technology. To enjoy HDTV, you must also show a program that has been prepared in digital form. Some case, need a set-top converter to convert analog television broadcasts to digital.
