How does a dealer check my credit? I gave them no information.?
He wanted to buy a computer from a producer Shopping Network Television. I chose the flex / easy payment plan and confirmed my order. Nobody called me and informed me that nobody would have any credit report done, I was given just a list of dates on my credit card charges and quantities. I received a letter saying they refused to pay my credit card are not flexible at par. My question is how the hell have they done? I did not give them SS # and not allowed to enter my credit report. What I can do … If anything? Thanks! Accept there was no credit card credit card) and request a credit card, but was put on a payment plan that do not tell me it was based on nothing. .. I I've done before and never had a problem … should be illigal to win anything just with someones address .. have to get social services somewhere .. # But I thank everyone for their kind assistance.
Did you give them a name and address? I suppose you have, because it would ship the goods. That's all they need know. If you extend credit, so we need to verify your credit. We do not need your permission, try to protect themselves. This is why the credit bureaus and why are retailers pay for their services. Can you do something? Not really. Credit is a business decision of a trader, not a right that is granted. The retailers in their own standards of creditworthiness. If the refusal was based on information from a credit report (the retailer has to say which), then you have the right to obtain a free copy of this report (credit bureau) to check for errors.
