Forrest Gump – 4 stars (excellent)
"Forrest Gump" begins with a feather up into the air by a breeze that brings the feet of Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks), which is sitting at a bus stop in Savannah (GA). Gump picks it up and placed in a "Curious George" children's book. He begins to tell the story of his life the first of several people waiting with him for the next bus.
Some people are big and other listeners are not, but make no mistake about it, Gump is a main narrator. It's simple, unpretentious, honest, bright and full of integrity. For such a humble person, his story is almost unbelievable.
Forrest door leg braces for walking in childhood, who escapes from his assailants criticize befriends Jenny (Robin Wright Penn), who will continue along its life, meets Elvis Presley meets three presidents John F. Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon, and received the Congressional Medal of Honor for service in Vietnam, where he recorded Lt. Dan (Gary Sinise) and the soldier lost friend "Bubba (Mykelti Williamson).
In a demonstration against the war in Washington, DC, met briefly with Jenny, whose life is a mess after a search of fame and the pursuit of a hippie lifestyle. Forrest started table tennis fans and became a nationally known as ping-pong, use the money he wins to start a very successful business with Lieutenant Dan shrimp boat, to invest their money in Apple shares and get rich at once in the process.
Then, inspires people to run, with a contractor to create smiley face stickers, and faces the loss of his mother (Sally Field), who tells him he should develop its own destiny. During this time, Jenny and love eludes him. Forrest has lived in turmoil.
Are you dizzy just imagine all this, even after seeing Forrest Gump is the first time appreciating the movie deserves, but overwhelmed by how a person can make long and almost as famous people. After watching Forrest Gump 3 times, I'm on it and now sing their praises.
Jenny finally see Forrest running television and writes a letter to come and see. When he does, he discovers that Jenny has a son and is very ill. She asks Forrest to marry, and soon dies. He learns that he is the father of her son, and will increase. When young Forrest gets on the bus for his first day of school, the white feather falls from the book Curious George is, is caught in the breeze and drift into heaven.
If you are wondering about the pen, it was real, but its performance in the film has been computerized. The plume is more important, since it raises the question whether we are all accidental-like floating on a breeze, or if each of us actually have a destination. Forrest course Maybe you both.
All this happens in Forrest Gump is worth seeing, and much of what happens teaches us important lessons in life. It is a love story, a story relations and the history of a person in a big world that is sometimes almost impossible to understand. All that is good and well what is bad is in the movie.
For Forrest Gump is appreciate, learn from these memorable lines from the movie:
1) The Lieutenant Daniel Taylor: "Have you found Jesus, however, Gump? Forrest Gump: "I do not know it had to be looking for him, sir."
2) Forrrest Gump: (describe Vietnam) "We were always taking long walks, and has always been looking for a guy named Charlie. "
3) Jenny Curran: "Have you ever been with a girl, Forrest?" Forrest Gump: (Nervous) "I'm sitting next to them in my home economics class …"
4) Jenny Curran: Forrest his name. "Forrest Gump" Like me. "Jenny Curran:" I called her dad. "Forrest Gump:" He got a daddy named Forrest, too? "Jenny Curran:" You are his father, Forrest.
5) Jenny Curran: "You never dreamed, Forrest, where you gonna go?" Forrest Gump "Who me?" Jenny Curran: "Yes. Forrest Gump: "Are not Am I not?"
6) Forrest Gump: "I'm not a smart man … But I know what is love. "
7) Forrest Gump: "Mama always said life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." This line has been voted in the 40th movie quote Top 100 American Film Institute. In 2007, the AFI said Forrest Gump the greatest film of all time 76th.
Forrest Gump: "Stupid is as stupid does."
Tom Hanks as Forrest young model accent (Michael Conner Humphreys, who actually spoke that way.)
Forrest Gump is a movie of a great success, with a production cost of 55 million worldwide gross and + $ 677,000,000. After his release in 1994, became the fastest grossing Paramount film to reach $ 100 million, 150 million marks and 200 million dollars, and spent $ 250 million in 66 days.
More importantly, Forrest Gump won six Academy Awards Oscar for Best Picture, Tom Hanks for Best Actor, Best Director Robert Zemeckis, Eric Roth for the best hypothesis based on the novel by Winston Groom, Arthur Schmidt for best film editing, and Ken Ralston, George Murphy, Stephen Rosenbaum and Allen Hall for Best Visual Effects.

Among its other 32 wins and 38 nominations were seven nominations for Golden Globes and won the best actor, best director and best film.
As is the case with almost any other award-winning production, many famous professionals miss the opportunity to be part of success. Terry Gilliam had a chance Barry Sonnenfeld making the film. Bill Murray was considered for the role of Forrest, Chevy Chase turned down the role of Forrest, and three refused the role of Bubba David Alan Grier, Dave Chappelle and Ice Cube.
Tom Hanks said he would do the movie if all events have taken place have been historically accurate. For example, when calling to report Gump the Watergate burglary, the security officer in the service answers the phone saying: "Security, Frank Willis. Willis has custody of the guard that night he discovered the robbery that led to the resignation of president Richard Nixon.
Tom Hanks is an incredible actor bankable. While Forrest Gump, plus $ 677,000,000 and is, by far its biggest blockbuster films has participated in 19 other extrapolation + $ 100 million, ranking third among all actors that appear in the films, generated $ 3,300,000,000.
Forrest Gump directed by Robert Zemeckis from a screenplay by Eric Roth from the novel by Winston Groom. Forrest I Gump liked, and I believe also. If you've seen before, over and over again to relive the magical moments of hope, courage, patience, love, understanding and compassion, all things that give meaning to our lives.
