Why a federal law that requires it to be necessary to convert to digital transmissions of analog television?
I tried search for information on this, but so far have had no luck. I'm just saying that a first of the FCC. decision was made to allow broadcasters a second "track" so they can establish a digital format, while spreading analog and later the law was to require a total change of technology digital next year. What I'm really interested why the government feels they need to demand a total and arbitrary change. Security? Saving energy? Width band? Control? No analog signals may interfere with certain military communications? Or is it a digital signal allows complete control over and direct big brother all the news and programs, we can get? Just curious about it and answers or discussion would be appreciated.
The way things interperated I have heard some facts and some of the reasons "that people have told me. I heard that the Digital signal is better and can send a signal any longer without power transmission used for analog. I also heard that free waves. I have heard that the military can use some of the waves for use. Be a fact that EchoStar has acquired the rights to the waves that are released. I do not know if it includes all frequencies that TV stations have, but I know which bought the rights of the waves which was sold at auction. EchoStar has a satellite network and many other companies, such as TV Guide channels. They are also being sued by TiVo and lost to them for the theft of the DVR. (Another topic) Echostar is now doing research to try to use the airwaves so that they can up / down bandwidth. They currently have broadband and upoading must pass through telephone connections. That's why it takes up to an hour for you to get films after application. Overall faster. With two-way broadband can do much more, such as the Internet provide a realistic rate. I heard that the waves will be used as "Wi-Fi" connection for all peoples. This could mean that you have with your Internet service provider through the last television signals. This seems a bit farfetched, but I saw the ongoing studies in this way. Realisticly, who knows what will happen to the frequencies open. Ten years ago, some of these things I mentioned would be his crasier to send a man to the moon 100 years ago. I am excited to see what happens. The Gov't should be free to use the airwaves to anyone other than a corporation and U.S. inventors across the country will achieve the best possible use of what we can do today. Perhaps the next Bill Gates or Alexander Grahm Bell come again!
