Colour Television Lyrics

I write a song and I want your opinion. Do you think the lyrics are good?
This is the second song I wrote. I think called "Colors." I'm working on a piece of banjo to go with it. It will sound much better to put them all together. I want it sounds like John Hartford if you know who he is. I want to be things that happen in everyday life. I really want people's opinions on how to come. Here are two verses. I'm still working on the chorus: Looking lost another 30 minutes the other day, nothing happens on television do, but sitting here desperately looking around the big screen these colors: red, green and blue, he comes, the trash man to pick up trash that I forgot to put the way So run fast, but he drives a fast-Reader's Digest corresponds to the garbage lid color: yellow Maybe, oh I do not know Thank you all for your help! This song is supposed to be folk or bluegrass.
I like the concept much, is a piece that must be heard Tho. the lyrics are good, but keep working.
