Grizzly attack in public. What is this world?
The following article has been the subject of many discussions among colleagues martial arts. We presented a difficult question. "How can you defend yourself if the following happened to you?" [Read below]
Winnipeg, Manitoba – A passenger sleeping on a Greyhound bus was killed and decapitated by his neighbor, Wednesday night that the vehicle rolled across the Canadian prairies, witnesses said.
"Suddenly, we heard that cry, that cry shocking," said Garnet Caton, who was sitting right front of the victim, in an interview with CBC Television.
"The attacker was standing just above the man with a knife for big game – a survival, Rambo knife – holding the guy and always sharp, stabbing him, stabbing him in the chest, "said Cato.
The attack continued as other passengers fled the bus and waited for police on a desolate stretch of the TransCanada Highway near Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, said Caton, who helped bar of the bus door to prevent
attacker to leave.
"There is no anger in him"
"He calmly walked to the front (The bus) with head in hand
and the right to see the knife and calmly and we head drops
before us, "said Cato.
"There was no rage in him … He was like a robot or
something, "said Cato.
Caton said the victim was stabbed 50 times. CBC reported the Royal Canadian Mounted Police took the attacker
custody.
Authorities declined to provide further details what they described as a
"Major incident. "

Now, when I joined a martial arts forum and discussed with other means of defense against this form attack appeared to be a lot of silence. Scary is how this attack is not surprising.
Some members of the forum, said: "You should pack a gun "I agree to have a firearm, knowing how to use it and use it if necessary. But" They put a gun " not solve the problem if you're in a deep sleep in public
someone suddenly starts stabbing and saw his head.
Another member said "We have to build are hostile situations" I also agree, but does not solve the problem.
The only advice in the forum I saw that all the credit I had was the member who said "you can not get in that situation. Think about it anything can happen if you fall asleep in public. No matter if the crime rate is high or low, and is in the middle of the day. "
But this man, I totally agree with him. Unfortunately we live in a world where you can not (or should not) Give your windows unlocked, open doors, and this case, falling asleep in public.
Even if you are exhausted through the work, dead tired, I know it sucks, but staying awake! The only exceptions I can think of is that if you're on the beach
sunbathing.
And if I was on the train that day, yes, I emptied my clip into him. I want someone who attacked me to do the same. Same if I had no chance of survival, I would like someone to come to my rescue, in contrast to all passengers that exist in Canada. Everyone ran in terror.
Another member asked if perhaps the Canadian Firearms are prohibited. I have searched for me same and this is what I found:
[By law, a potential customer must be 18 years or older to purchase a firearm or retain legal possession of one. Canadian citizens under the age of 18 years but over 12 can obtain a permit to a minor not allowed to buy a gun, but allowed to borrow a firearm and ammunition purchases unattended.]
But even if you do not want to have a firearm, yet can be protected with a Taser .
Its rate is equivalent to incapactation gun 9 mm. There is no excuse for not defending himself or his fellow citizens, if something happens in your presence.
