Comcast "4:3 override" problem?
I have a newer version of the Motorolla cable box with DVR. USRE no model number, but it has been installed recently (11/2009) My question / confusion is to prevail over "4:3" configuration. I do not know what is best for my TV. I connected my 46 "Samsung LED via HDMI. Do not know if the cable box is capable of stretching channel HD signals not so much to fit the entire screen, and get rid of the bars black. Also, I'm not entirely sure if this is the best way to view these channels. At present, the setting is "OFF", some in standard definition. Channels black bands on both sides (left and right). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Television is very little that you have chosen. Check if your TV (or STB) have an option to stretch chip, fills the screen and does not distort much.
