DirecTV to launch three channels of programming in 3D HD
DirecTV announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Panasonic to launch three channels 3D in June 2010. DirecTV subscribers will receive a free software upgrade that allows them to access channels in their 3D games.
programming DIRECTV HD will be powered by Panasonic's new 3D and this sponsorship will be the Panasonic brand across all channels of DIRECTV in 3D for a period of one year.
DirecTV will offer new 3D movie channels, sports and more entertainment. DirecTV is working with leading content producers, including 3D AEG AEG, Digital Media, CBS, Fox Sports / FSN, Golden Boy Promotions, HDNet,
MTV, NBC Universal and Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. to launch 3D chains.
DirecTV will offer to launch a channel devoted to films, documentaries and other programs. The second will be a demand channel and the third will be a sampler channel 3D demo.
